I always
admired this nice race in various foreign magazines and
books and later I met these dogs on International dog
shows. I decided to found breeding of
pomeranians in 1990. At first I had typical German Spitz from Czech kennels. Later I
imported some dogs from European kennels or I sent my
bitches for breeding to Germany - they were bred by males
imported from England. Puppies from these litters had
better coat, but they were not typical poms. I
contacted some of the best pomeranian breeders in the
world - especialy in Canada, USA and Thailand. Thanks
Chriscendo kennel (male Am.Can.Ch. Chriscendo Call to
Arms - Colt), Finch´s kennel (male Am. Thai.Ch. Pufprice
Sweet Dreams - Parker), Tokie kennel (male
Am.Can.Thai.Grand.Ch. Tokie the Legend Continue - Dutchy)
and Starlight´s kennel (male Am.Can.Thai.Ch.
Starlight´s Dream Come True - Paco) some of my bitches
were bred and the puppies were of high quality - as
in type so in coat. Some of my bitches were bred also in
European kennels by males imported from
famous Powerpom kennel - male
ICh.Powerpom Maxmilion - Max (Pomdelacreme kennel,
Spain), male ICh. Powerpom Born to Success - BJ (Fantzja
Spitz kennel, Polland). I have posibility to choose
quality puppies from these litters for my breeding
program. I would like to thank to all of these breeders
for their helpfulness, willingness and time spent with my
bitches during their stay in these kennels. I am glad
that they allow me the breeding by their males. The
more I improve quality in my kennel the more I find
(especialy at shows) the differences between both
types of German Spitz. The original and typical German
Zwergspitz recedes into the background of modern and bred
type - pomeranian. You can see it at the first sight -
the pomerania has realy different body building: compact
bone with robust legs, short muzzle and so typical double
coat which is so important. Showing
of both types is a big problem - better to say their
assessment at shows. If the both type are not divided
into two separate races (like Akita-inu and American
Akita) with their own standard, it will depends on the
judge, which type he prefers - if the typical German
Spitz or popular Pomeranian. I
exhibite my dogs at European shows a lot, including World
dog show, so I can say that many judges prefer this
pomeranian type. Now it depends on German Kennel
Club, when they start to solve this problem and when they
ask FCI to divide both type. Otherwise is possible that
the German Zwergspitz completely disappear and Germany
losts its typical race. It is the high time to do
something. The dividing could stop the rivalry among
breeders in the show ring and the judging would be more
easier. I would like to wish lot of success in
breeding and showing to all Pomeranian breeders.
After so many years I know that this breeding is realy
hard work - especialy to carry the type and the coat
quality. Top quality parents are not quarantee for hig
quality puppies. I convinced myself about it. That´s why
for me the quality blood line is on the first place,
not only one good dog with many titles from shows. I
think there is still room to improve things in my kenenl
- and it is just the interesting in breeding. Success at
shows is the reward in this work.
